VDA Bling for the Ladies
Ladies Bling Bling Shirts
The lady that puts the bling on the shirts did it years ago on her Weekender clothes. Weekender clothes were wonderful traveling clothes and mostly were all plain colors with no print or design. (I had several pieces and loved them, these shirts seem to be very close to them.) She started putting bling on them and people would constantly stop and ask her where she got her clothes. When she explained to the people what she had done, they wanted her to start her own business. She had no intention on starting a business since she had just retired from United Airlines after 34 years of being a stewardess. But the Bling Bling Barn was born eight years ago in Sonora.
She said she always puts a little something on the back shoulder so the back would have a little bling and not be so dull. The heart on the back of the helicopter is her signature. She puts it on all of her work. If she forgets to put it on, people have brought it back to her to add the heart.
The shirts she uses are the brand “Distinct Apparel”. They are 100% combed cotton/machine wash cold/tumble dry on low. She suggests turning the shirt inside out, wash on gentle cycle, cold or warm water, and put in the dryer for no more than 5 minutes, then hang to finish drying.
These shirts are true to size. I wear a medium and they fit me perfectly. I thought I would need a larger size, but she made me try them on, and a large was way to big.
If interested in purchasing a shirt or bag prior to the 2017 reunion, we need the orders by August 1st.
