The Vietnam Dustoff Association has been created as a non-profit organization to promote the camaraderie and the history of those who served in helicopter aero-medical evacuation units in Vietnam. All individuals who served in these units, surviving family members or others interested in the Dustoff mission are welcome to become part of our association.
Our primary goal is to renew old friendships formed in battle and to have a safe haven for emotional healing as may be necessary. We have an excellent outreach program where veterans work to improve the health and welfare of friends.
We also gather unit histories in effort to build an informational data base of our era in Vietnam. If you have information you care to share, please contact us.
Please enjoy our web page and if you have questions or concerns, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 253-906-2938.
Huey Memorial at Dover
October 10-14, 2018
Under the Reunion 2018 Tab, we have placed a working agenda as schedules are currently being developed, coordination for visits and plans being drawn up to host us.
To accomodate all that we want to see and do, we added Wedneday to the calendar. The board had discussions about taking a side trip to visit Angel Fire NM. As plans were developed, it was quickly realized that the trip would be 5 hours each way and it would require a second driver for safety thus adding an increase of 50-75% which we didn't feel would meet the finances of membership. If you want to visit Angel Fire prior to or after the reunion, we would encourage you to do so.
Paul Harpole has secured several large donors that will provide funding to off-set the majority of our expenses to flying a UH-1 and other fixed wing aircraft.
Within Amarillo are several museums, art and crafts stores which may be more attractive to the wives, so we will plan a side trip to a few of these locations for Friday while the guys are rubbing elbows with the Valor 280.
